Christmas Lights
Saturday night we went on the hunt for Christmas Lights. I went to azcentral and pulled up their list of lights that people submit. We found three right near the house. We went to one that we found last year that the kids love. Santa is in the window so they think it is his house. We found a new one this year that you drive back onto their property. It was really neat and the kids just loved it. Addie is really into all the lights this year. Lots of pointing and smiling :)
Gingerbread House
On Friday morning, Dilan wanted to go say goodbye to Mr. Pierce for the holidays. Since Dilan missed the party, Mr. Pierce gave him all the goodies to make his Gingerbread House at home. I helped frost it with Dilan and he put everything on. He did really good considering all the pain he was in. It really took his mind off of everything.

Dilan Broke His Arm :(
Dilan's broken bones (there is still a splint on the bottom)
After the Orthopedic Surgeon put the bones back in pace
The temporary cast
Dilan on morphine :)As I was enjoying Haylee's Holiday party at preschool today my cellphone rang and I ignored it because I didn't recognize the number. 30 seconds later it rings again and it is Andre. Michelle, I am on my way to the school, Dilan fell on the playground and broke his arm. I grabbed Haylee and Addisen, my eyes filling with tears and we ran. I got to Sunset Ridge as fast as I could with Andre pulling up just seconds behind me. I was running in with the girls to find my little boy laying in the nurses office crying in horrible pain. The nurse had completely splinted Dilan's left arm with ice on it so I had no idea what his arm looked like. We then took off to Na's to drop the girls off and then off to Scottsdale North at Thompson Peak Hospital we went. They got us right in with X-Rays in minutes and you wouldn't have to be a Dr. to know it was broken. He broke both bones. One was at an angle and almost breaking through the skin. Poor Dilan was in so much pain they had to start an IV with morphine. That worked like a charm. Once the orthopedic surgeon arrived they knocked out Dilan and set his arm and put a temporary cast on. He will get his full cast on Tuesday or Wednesday for 2-3 weeks then go to a shorter cast for another 2-3 weeks after that. He said had that been on an adult they would have required surgery. He was sent home with liquid Vicodin. He is now in my bed resting and watching a movie awaiting my arrival for the night.
So you are probably wondering how this all happened. Dilan was playing on the playground at recess and was on the monkey bars trying to jump to the third bar. He obviously did not make it. He just kept saying, "I wish this never happened!"

TriWest Holiday Party
Tonight was Andre's Fire and Ice Holiday Party at the JW Marriot at Desert Ridge. It is always really nice. This year they are on a wellness kick as am I so it was perfect. The food was healthy and delicious. I am wearing a dress that I actually bought to wear in Hawaii on our honeymoon but with 9/11 happening we planned for our trip to be in Sedona instead. I was also 6 weeks pregnant with Dilan and not feeling like wearing the dress. Well tonight I fit into it. I am 42 pound lighter and it is a size 10! It was so exciting to be able to zip that up. We had a blast with Andre's friends and didn't even get home until 12:30 which is really late for me. Na and Appa watched the little munchkins for us.

Where is Clark?
Where is Clark is the question asked every morning? Out of nowhere, the Elf on the Shelf showed up. When the Elf makes his appearance, you read the book and your first instructions are to name your Elf. Dilan wanted to name him Clark so Clark he is. Every night when we all go to bed, Clark flies back to the North Pole to report back to Santa and in the morning he reappears in a new spot. Today, Clark was found in our kitchen. You cannot touch Clark ever but the kids talk to him a lot. They let him know who is being naughty and nice and also what they want for Christmas. It is the cutest thing.
Santa

Dilan had a half day on Wednesday so my mom and I took the kids to Anthem to go see Santa. As soon as I put Addie on his lap she was screaming a wiggling her little body off so here I am again in another Santa picture. At least I had showered that morning. The hair is not done but what can you do. Santa was a bit old and even commented that the kid before us was a chunk. When my mom asked Dilan if he told Santa what he wanted, Santa said, "he already did two times!" He was not very nice. Haylee told Santa she wanted a TV! Christmas just got a bit pricier :)
Puttin' Up the Tree
Dilan and I had a great time putting up the tree last weekend. I sent Andre on a hunt for a gift that I wanted and the girls were napping so Dilan and I figured we could get more done faster this way. We took some pics of ourselves along the way too. Once Andre got home the girls got up and we all enjoyed hanging the last of the ornaments. Addie learned a new word too. She would point to the tree and yell, "tee, tee!"
