Happy Halloween
As another Halloween comes to an end I think, why did I not take more pictures? My kids looked adorable. I took the three out Trick or Treating while Andre stayed behind to hand out candy. They all did great. Addie walked the entire time and hung onto her spider candy bag for dear life. She said Trick or Treat and thanks at every house. She even threw in a Happy Halloween ever now and then. Dilan and Haylee were equally polite. They did awesome tonight. I am so proud of all three, they all listened very well.
Pumpkin Carving
I have never carved anything but your typical triangle eyes and nose with a toothy smile. This year Dilan wanted me to try a little something different. My pumpkin was big enough that I did a cat and a castle. Dilan carved his very first pumpkin by himself and did a coyote. Addie also colored hers today.

Pumpkin Guts
As a kid I loved scooping out the pumpkin guts and getting all that gooey stuff up to my elbows. Remember how it would dry on your arms and then your arm would be all stiff from it? Well my kids, not so much. Andre did one pumpkin, Dilan scooped a few and I did the rest. Oh, it was so much fun. I got all gooey and loved every minute of it. Haylee colored her tiny pumpkin that she picked out. Addie is still sleepy as I am typing. Dilan started his carve but had to leave with Andre to go to his very first High School Football game. I need to still carve my pumpkin but will do that later because for some reason Andre decided to rinse my pumpkin out and it is a bit wet inside. He had no idea how to do any of this. Poor Andre.

Lucky #7 and Dilan Pulled it Himself
Dilan is so my child. He has had this loose tooth for a little bit. He asked me last night to pull it but I told him it wasn't quite ready. We tried again tonight but again I couldn't get it. I left the bathroom for about 5 minutes where he apparently worked on it by twisting and pulling it until it finally came out. This was the first one he did by himself. I am impressed. I was the type of kid who had to get it out too even it it wasn't quite ready. Let's see what the tooth fairy brings tonight.

Pickin' Punkins'
Andre and I took the kids to pick out their pumpkins. Haylee and Addisen each found theirs very quickly but Dilan took quite awhile. Each one he looked at was just not the one. After about 20 minutes he finally yelled out, "I found it!" It is a very nice one I will have to admit. I also found one that I had to have. We had a fun time and it was quick and easy.
