The Cricut

Look what I did on my new Cricut Expressions.  I put it above Haylee's door.  She chose the colors.  You may ask why Beans?  I have called her that since the moment I saw her.  I am not sure why but it just stuck.

Hostess Cupcakes and a Sink Shower

The girls stayed with Na on Friday morning while I was at an appointment.  When I got back Na fixed us lunch.  The girls had their grilled cheese sandwiches and for desert Addie and Haylee had a Hostess Cupcake.  they both love chocolate and who wouldn't.  Oh yeah, that would be my brother Paul and his wife Sarah.  It is true, they don't like chocolate.  But anyway, Addie's new thing is to put everything she eats in her hair so you can imagine what she looked like afterwards. After she was done we headed straight for the sink where just wiping her down was not going to do the job.  We opted for a sink shower where she had so much fun have a mini shower.  Haylee was there to assist in the cleaning while Na snapped pics.

The Wii

We absolutely love the Wii.  Today we were at Kohl's buying Haylee her preschool clothes and Dilan found these Wii pants for him and some Wii shorts for Andre.  They were playing The Little League World Series tonight.  What a fun thing for a dad and his boy!

A Tantrum, Addie Style

Addie has been throwing quite a few tantrums lately when she does not get her way.  She loves to play with things that she shouldn't so she gets mad a lot.  Her mad though is almost cute.  She throws herself on the ground and lays on her tummy and cries and gives you that I'm really ticked off look.

Two Naughty Girls!

I literally went into the other room for two minutes and the girls were able to pull out about 250 disposable diaper bags.  Shows me not to walk away :)

Dave Matthews Band Concert

Dave Matthews Band Tickets: $166.55
Dinner at Which Wich: $28.12
Bottled Water at Circle K: $3.68
Spending an evening out with my husband: Priceless

Last night Andre and I went to go see the Dave Matthews Band concert. We have a wonderful friend Natalie who watched the kids. Without her, this night would not have been possible. We started by going to Westgate for dinner at a yummy little sandwich shop called Which Wich. We then had to make our stop at Circle K to get our sealed bottle of water for the show. Considering it was 109 degrees we thought we should be hydrated. Once we got there we had to contend with 20,000 other people for a parking spot. In true Andre fashion he did not listen to the gentleman directing traffic. In Andre's defense, this man wanted us to park up on a curb in his Mazda. That was not going to happen so Andre drove into the lot where there was plenty of spots left even though that man said there were none. Once that was settled it was time to make our way up to the gate and again get in line with about 2000 of our closest friends. Once in, we got to our seats and anxiously awaited Dave. He came on at 8:30 and proceeded to play until 11:30. What a show it was. It started off with the song Bartender in memory of his Saxophone player LeRoi Moore who died on Tuesday, August 19th. They played one of my favorite songs Don't Drink The Water as their first encore song. If you are ever thinking about going to one of their shows I highly recommend it. It is worth every penny. Andre said afterwards that he wants to go every year which definitely works for me. We don't get many date nights with three kids and especially with Addie having the G-Tube. Again, thank you Natalie for taking this hard task on, we sincerely appreciated it.

Haylee LOVES Gymnastics!

Haylee went to her second week of gymnastics at The Little Gym.  She had one specific request for this week and that was for Daddy and Di Di (Dilan) to come too.  As we drove up, she again said, "Me so happy!"  She is so excited that she finally has something that is all hers.  I have never seen her smile so much before.  She loves the uneven bars and actually really never moved from those much.  Her poor teacher Miss Brooke kept telling her she needed to do other stuff but Haylee was not going for that.  She kept waiving to us throughout her session with such a smile. Daddy was so proud of her.  As he looked at all the equipment it hit him how hard those Olympians work, how in the world do they do flips on a four inch beam?  Maybe one day we will be watching Haylee do those back flips on a balance beam.

These are the moments!

As I pushed Addie in her stroller I watched my kids have the time of the lives walking with their Daddy on the boardwalk in front of the La Jolla Shores Hotel.

What A Face

Need I say more?

Balloon Fun

Isn't it amazing how balloons can keep kids so entertained?  The two girls chased balloons around this afternoon while Dilan did his homework.  You may notice in the picture of Addie alone that her top left tooth is chunked out.  Her top right also has a little chip.  I have no clue how she managed that one.

Rockin' Out With Daddy

Dilan, Haylee and Addisen enjoyed some special rock out time with their Daddy tonight.  They love listening to Weezer.  Whenever Addie is upset he turns it on and she calms right down.  She is my little rocker :)

Walkin' Addie

There she goes walking more and more each day!

Addisen Eleanor Update

Addisen is doing great.  She now weighs 20 lbs. and is 13 months old.  She took her first steps just one week after she turned one.  She was accepted to DDD (Division of Developemetal Disabilities) back in June so we currently have a Speech/Feeding Therapist, Developmental Specialist, Occupational Therapist and a Physical Therapist.  Luckily they are all in home as of September 22nd.  I have been driving to Scottsdale several times a week for all her therapy. Luckily my mom has been there to help with Dilan and Haylee.  We have had a rough road but it is getting so much better.  I think Addie will be on the G-Tube for awhile.  She won't drink anything but water. When we have forced milk (gently) she projectile vomits it up.  She had an allergy panel done and the only thing that came up was pork, so we are not sure why she has a problem with milk when she can eat cheese, yogurt and ice cream without a problem.  Her appetite has increased but she still doesn't eat a whole lot.  My goal is to have her off her G-Tube by our Disneyland trip in March.

Addie's MRI came back clean in June.  Her CT Scan and EEG was also normal back in September of 07'.  She had one seizure when she was 2 1/2 months old but has not had one since.  The neurologist still suspects that she had a stroke in-utero that has caused her right-sided weakness.  Our wonderful pediatrician Dr. Kanagal told me at her 1 year check-up that she is defying all odds with the quick progress she has made.

Dilan & Addisen

Dilan and Addie catch a few smiles under Mommies desk.

Dilan Starts 1st Grade

WOW!  Can you believe Dilan is 6 and in the 1st grade?  We sure can't.  He went back to school on August 13th in 110 degree weather and yes he wore jeans.  His teachers name is Mr. Pierce and he really likes him.  He already has a girlfriend yet doesn't remember her name:)  He got a 100% on his first Spelling Test and received a 100% on his Pre-Test this Monday so he has a list of challenge words to learn.  Have a great year Dilan, you are making us so proud!

1st Dentist Appointment

Haylee had her first trip to the dentist on August 13th.  After clenching her mouth shut for 15 minutes she finally allowed the dental hygienist to clean her teeth.  The dentist was able to count her teeth, 20 in all!
