Dilan's 7, ALMOST!
We had a small family get together today to help Dilan celebrate his upcoming 7th birthday on June 4th. For his actual birthday we will be in La Jolla. Here are some pics of the very easy going day.

Dilan's Memorial Day
Dilan spent Memorial Day with Uncle Paul and Aunt Sarah. He did many things as you can see from the pics. He had a ball and still can't stop talking about his sleepover and "Rich Necklace"( a gold chain that Dilan asked for) that Uncle Paul and Aunt Sarah gave him for his birthday. You can see the rich necklace in his lost tooth picture.
Memorial Day
Yesterday was a perfect hot and sunny day for swimming and a BBQ. I started off the day at Zumba at the gym so I could partake in bad eating habits. When I got home Dilan had already left for a fun filled sleepover with Aunt Sarah and Uncle Paul. They went fishing, to Gameworks, Tempe Market Place, watched movies and ate! I had told Dilan not to ask for anything so when they went in to Tilly's Dilan said, "Mommy and Daddy said not to ask for anything but in case your wondering I wear a size 7!" That is priceless. On to our day with the girls. We started off with lots of swimming, then a blazing BBQ (truly, lots of flames) then back to swimming. We then headed off to Baskin Robbins for some ice cream and back home to snuggle up and watch the Heroes finale from weeks ago. We had a great day but it was sure quiet without Dilan. We really missed him.

I love You, I Don't Love You
The Comparison
Dilan's Last Day of 1st Grade
I just sent Dilan off to his last day of 1st grade. This year flew by in a flash. He has learned so many new things. The year brought several crazy firsts too. His first fight on the playground which sent him to his first trip to the assistant principles office which got him his first lunch detention. The worst was his first badly broken arm. We are still dealing with that one. He just finished physical therapy and has regained 90% of his range of motion. He did a great job this year by studying his spelling words so hard each week. He got a 100% almost every week. You make us so proud Dilan.

My How You've Grown
1st Day
Last DayHaylee, you have grown so much in just over 8 months. I can't believe it, your first year of preschool is over and you will soon be four. I remember picking out your little outfit the first day of school and last night you picked the same outfit to wear on your last day. As we sat in here together looking at pictures and listening to music you were shaking your hips so proudly, "Look at me mommy!" She thinks she is doing Zumba moves. I love you so much and you make me so proud.
